STONE & SKILLET TOAD IN THE HOLE
ingredients
- 1 Stone & Skillet English Muffin
- 1 Egg
- Canola oil
- 3 slices of bacon
- 3 slices tomato
- Bibb lettuce
- 1 slice Jack Cheese
- 1/2 tablespoon mayo
preparation
- Slice tomato, set aside
- Fry bacon in pan until done, set aside
- Preheat nonstick skillet over med-low heat
- Split English muffin and cut a hole in the top part of the muffin
- Place one slice of cheese on bottom muffin and place in oven until cheese has melted
- Put top muffin in skillet and drizzle 1/4 of canola oil in the hole
- Crack egg into hole (be careful not to break yolk)
- Wait until some of the egg white has set, (about 3 minutes), and cover until egg white is completely cooked through and egg yolk is still runny (an additional 3-4 minutes)
- Spread the bottom muffin with mayo and top with lettuce, tomato, bacon and top muffin
- Season egg with salt and pepper
